 Major Network Outage - a firewall failure resulted in sever network outage. An temporary firewall has been put up w/ limited internet access. We will be upgrading the failed firewall and several other servers for the next few weeks

Unknown individuals used an FrontPage exploit to change the our home page the following link is the page they substituted for our home page; Hacked Index. Corrections to the home page were made within a few hours and site security was enhanced.

 Starting around November 2005 Spammers began to send thousands of emails with forged From: and Reply-To: using my domain name (Good4Nothin.com). We are aware of the problem but current technology prohibits any way of  stopping it. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and we assure you we will continue to work on the problem till it is corrected.

Sober. worm Variant on the loose.
Good4Nothin has been flooded w/ thousands of Sober infected Non-Delivery Reports. We have begun to reject all NDRs for the time being.
If you are here because you received an infected email, rest assure it was not sent from any computer in our network. The Sober worm has sent thousands of emails using spoofed from:____@goo4nothin.com addresses.

A Spam outbreak has caused us to implement a few immediate changes.
  • We will be using the SPAMCOP DNS Blacklist.
  • E-mails scored higher that "8" will be Rejected

Problems with our DNS severs has caused intermittent shutdown of the G4N web site we are working to correct this.

We are including the Vamsoft ORF software into our Spam Fighting arsenal. ORF will allow us to use the Spamhaus SBL & XBL IP-based Black Lists as well as the ws.SURBL.org Spamvertised uri list. We are currently in the testing phase, all incoming email is being logged for false-positives.
